Meet Mrs. Donalson

      I am so excited about our year in Pre-K! We will learn so many new things and have so much fun in the process that before you know it summer will be here again! I would like to formally introduce myself. I am Jamye Donalson. I have been a resident of Bainbridge my entire life. I worked as a parapro for two years before graduating from Thomas University with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I have my Master’s degree from Florida State University in Information Studies in Library Science.  I have taught Kindergarten for 7 years, 2 years in first grade, one year teaching 4th grade, and this will be my 6th year teaching Pre-K.

     I would have to say Pre-K is my favorite of all grades. I am in awe of how much the children learn and grow in one year. I take pride in building that foundation of learning that will make them life-long learners.

     I am 43 years old. I am married to Brian Donalson and I have four children, Grace is 18 and is in her first year of college at Troy State University, Carter is 15 and plays high school and AAU travel basketball,  Gabby is 13 and she is a BMS cheerleader, and Sadie is 5 and in kindergarten at SCCA this year. We also have a pet cat named Lil’ Bit. As you can see, I love children!

     I also love to watch all sports, especially college, and basketball would be my favorite if I had to choose.

     Being a teacher is a dream come true for me and I plan to do everything possible to make your child’s school experience a positive one.
